In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top music and podcast applications on Android in Kuwait showcased notable trends. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $799 in mid-August. Downloads also surged, reaching a high of approximately 2.1K in late September. The app maintained a robust user base with weekly active users climbing to over 125K by the end of the quarter.

YouTube Music had consistent weekly downloads, fluctuating between 1.2K and 1.6K, while active users decreased slightly from 38K to 36.5K over the quarter.

Anghami: Play music & Podcasts experienced a peak in downloads in early September at 1.5K, with a notable revenue peak of $784 in late August. However, active users declined from 16.4K to 13.5K by the end of September.

SoundCloud: The Music You Love showed a modest revenue increase, closing the quarter at $155. Downloads varied throughout the period, ending at around 823, while active users remained stable at around 16K.

Yango Play Music: song player saw a sharp decline in downloads from a high of 1.1K in July to just 38 by the end of September. Active users also decreased from over 1.5K to 853 during the same period.
